Sponsorship Letter

Letter from the Ambassador of the State of Qatar & Department Chair

Dear Friend:

As Chair of the Department of Pediatrics, and along with our Honorary Philanthropic Event Host His Excellency Sheikh Meshal Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the United States, I have the pleasure of inviting you to be a sponsor of our Annual Georgetown Pediatrics Philanthropic Evening entitled “Designed for Children – An Evening at the Renwick”. The event will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC. I hope you will be able to join us for what is one of Washington’s premier philanthropy events.

I want you to know how extraordinarily proud I am of the physicians, nurses, administrators and all staff at Georgetown Pediatrics for their renowned care of our patients and their families, all in keeping with the Georgetown University’s Jesuit tradition of cura personalis, care for the whole person. Our accomplishments during the past year have been many and significant, from working locally to expand services to underserved communities right here in DC, to sending a team abroad to the Kingdom of Jordan to educate providers about care for infants in the important first hour after birth.

The Department maintains our Pediatric services throughout the DC region, bringing expert care in endocrinology, diabetes, neurology, asthma and other fields to the area. Our Pediatric Outpatient Clinic in our Tenleytown location is seeing record numbers of patients, and our renowned KIDS Mobile Medical Clinic continues its “up close and personal” services to children and their families right in their own neighborhoods.

In order to enable the Department of Pediatrics to continue its extremely important work to serve the healthcare needs of our area’s children, we need you. The financial support you provide will make a significant difference in the lives of the children we serve. We are looking forward to seeing you for this vibrant celebration of what we do.

If you have any questions about sponsorship, please contact Meg Pagonis at 202-255- 2747 or meg.pagonis@georgetown.edu. Thank you for your kind consideration, and we look forward to seeing you at the event.

Sincerely,
